How do I add or remove my article directory
to/from your submission list?
Won't creating too many links too
quickly get me banned by Google? There are two answers to this: First, if you are concerned about this, there is an option to have your article's submission staggered over multiple days. All you need to do is to set the maximum number of submissions you want each day, and the Wizard will continue to submit to that number each day until it has worked through the whole list. Having said that, I believe this concern is a
myth. Have a listen to Kurt Schmitt's testing (the audio at the
top of the home page) and
read his article. I don't believe in this
penalty for rapid links. If you think about the process, here
is what will happen:
Day 1 you submit loads of articles. These links will take from,
say, 4 hours to 4 weeks to appear on the sites, and even longer
to be found by Google.
In the meantime, on Day 2 you submit the next load of articles.
So the links from these will overlap with the links from article
1
Same for Day 3.
So what does Google see? A few links in a few days,. Then over
the first two weeks there is a rapid rise in the number of
links. Following that, there is an ongoing, and sustained, rise
in the number of links. Initially these links are on a
relatively small number of IP's (the 600 directories). Over
time, however, they get dispersed over a wider range of IP's as
the articles get picked up (hopefully) by other webmasters.
Wouldn't this be exactly the same pattern as if there were a hot
news item? Supposed someone found another 5,000 year old
preserved ice-man in some glacier in Switzerland, wouldn't we see the same
pattern of links developing?
So what would there be for Google to complain about? Especially
since they are all coming from non-duplicate pages?
Just my opinion (nobody really knows what Google does), based on
a two year's experience with the Wizard.

Do you submit to
EzineArticles.com?
Not at present. We recommend that you submit to them manually. There may also be other places to which you wish to submit your article manually. For that reason, once you have processed
your article through the Wizard, we provide a page from which you can copy a
unique version of the article. You can then paste that unique version into Ezine
Articles, or elsewhere. Each time you refresh the page, a different unique
version will be displayed for you to use.

To which sites do you submit? How many?
The exact number varies each day, as it depends on technical issues such as
their site timing out and so on. Currently it is well over

Articles - we recommend manual submission to them.

Do I have to manually signup for, or confirm, all these
directory accounts?
No, we do all that for you - see the next question...

Will I receive loads of junk email from all these directories?
No. You won't receive any email from them. We handle the signup process for you,
so you don't have to confirm any accounts, and we deal with all the accept/decline
emails, otherwise you would be inundated!

How will I know if my articles have been accepted?
You won't, directly. In order to save you from being flooded by hundreds of
emails, you won't receive any notifications (or spam) from any of the
directories.
HOWEVER, the Wizard does provide two things that will help: Weekly statistics of
how well your article is doing in Yahoo, and a convenient link that will do a
search in yahoo for your article, so you can get an idea of which sites are
taking it up.
Having said that, we don't recommend you spend much time doing this. You are far
better off using your time to create and submit more articles. Half an hour
checking the stats does nothing to build your rankings. Half an hour spent
submitting a new article does.

How long does it take for my articles to
appear on the web?
Here is a typical time-line:
Day 1 - you submit your article through the Wizard.
Day 1 or 2 - your article is reviewed by our staff to make
sure it complies with reasonable standards.
Starting at
midnight that night all the different unique versions of your
article are submitted to 650+ directories. Not all
submissions succeed, as articles are only submitted to
appropriate categories (your "Dog" article will not be submitted
to a niche "knitting" site). typically, however, about 400 - 550
do succeed.
Days 3 to 10 - your articles start to appear on the
directories. Some, of course, may take much longer to process
and approve articles. And some may reject your article for
various reasons.
Days 4 onwards - the search engines start to find your
articles, and your site (see my
video about a brand new site). Usually by this time you
already have about 100 - 160 backlinks. Beyond this, that
number will gradual increase as your articles appear on more
sites.

Can I submit articles that are
adult-related, pure advertisements, job resumes, etc?
Sorry, but no. In order to maintain the reputation and
integrity of our service, we cannot distribute articles that are
adult-related, pure advertisements, job resumes, or that in some
other way would not be appropriate for family-friendly article
directories.
There are, indeed, some article directories who are happy to
receive such submissions. The problem comes when such articles
are submitted under categories that are not appropriate.
Directories who are not happy to publish these types of articles
tend to get annoyed when such articles are submitted to them. As
such, we have had directories threaten to block all further
submissions due to content such as this. This does not do us nor
our other subscribers any service.
Therefore we must respectfully decline all articles dealing with
such matter.
However if you have other topics you wish to submit other than
those listed above, we would love to have you as a member.

Can I submit Private Label Rights (PLR)
articles?
Check the exact terms of your PLR licence but almost
certainly the answer is yes.
The Wizard makes significant alterations to the original
article. As such, the altered article is normally considered
original content, and so you would normally have full rights to
do what you wish with these altered articles. This makes the
Wizard a perfect way to get maximum benefit from those types of
articles.

Will I lose the copyright to my articles?
No. You retain the copyright. However, in submitting articles through the Wizard you ARE agreeing to them being released under the Creative Commons Attribution-No Derivative Works 3.0 Unported License which gives people permission to reprint your articles provided they don't modify them and do include your resource box including live links (without 'nofollow' tags) This license, we believe, allows for the maximum distribution of your article without giving it up to the public domain.

Can I submit articles in French,
German, Spanish, or other languages?
No, sorry. The article directories are all in English, so
they wouldn't accept your articles anyway.

I already have various article submission tools (eg My Article
Submitter and Directory Submitter) and have used Isnare,
ArticleMarketer etc. What do you make of those? All these
tools are great as far as they go. But they all suffer from some
significant
limitations:
- They submit duplicate content everywhere.
- They limit how many domains and/or author's names they allow you
to promote
- They submit to only a limited number of articles directories.
Have a listen to Kurt Schmitt's comparative testing (at the top
of the home page) and then test
it out for yourself. That is why we provide the money-back
guarantee!

Does the program have a full tutorial?
Of course! Video and written tutorials every step of the way.

Do you have an affiliate program?
Yes! All members are automatically enrolled in our affiliate
program, which pays 40% recurring commission on all
subscriptions through your affiliate link. Depending on
how you promote the wizard, conversions range between 2 - 5%.
Naturally, using spam or other unethical practices is not
allowed.
But it gets even better - every article you send out through
the Wizard not only promotes your own website, it also promotes
your affiliate link! We do recommend that you actively promote
the Wizard to maximize your earnings - but even if you don't,
every article you submit works as a silent salesman on your
behalf. Just another benefit that no-one else provides.

Can I use the Wizard to promote other
affiliate programs?
Yes. But you have to go about it the right way. Most article
directories will reject articles with affiliate links in them.
The right way to do it is to direct people to your own website
or blog, on which you then review, recommend, or otherwise
promote the affiliate program. Don't just use a redirect script.
One way to do this is to set up a review site in which you compare and review competing products - for most of which you also have an affiliate account. An example of this is SmokingReviews.org. You then promote the review site which, in turn, promotes your affiliate links.
Perhaps the simplest and cheapest way to do this is to go to Squidoo.com and create a "lens" (same as a web page) in which you recommend and write about various products. In there you can put your affiliate links.
Then use the Wizard to point people to your Squidoo lens. That way YOU own the links. If you just put an affiliate link into the resource box, you are giving away the link to the destination site. Suppose they go out of business or end their affiliate program? Then all your links are worthless.
If you own the links, then if that happens, you just adjust your Squidoo lens and promote a different product instead.
To start with you can even simply post your article on your Squidoo page, just to get it up and running. Then, as you go along, add more content to the lens to build it up into a more authoritative site.
Another way to do the same thing is to set up a blog which, again, can be set up for free, or for very little money.

How do I use the Wizard to promote
my adsense site?
Exactly as you would promote a site that sells stuff. There
are two differences to note:
1. Adsense sites normally have a lot of content - that is why
people visit them, to read the content. Just make sure that you
don't put too much content in the article - the
article needs to tease them so they visit your site. If you give
too much away, they won't come to your site, and they won't
click on your adsense.
2. Similarly in the resource box. Obviously, since you are
not selling anything, your enticement will need to be a bit
different from the example about the golf shoes. You could have
something like: "Jane Smith has extensive experience as a head hunter. Visit her
job hunting site for free
information on the best way to secure and win your next
job interview."

I own an article directory, how does
the Wizard benefit me?
Most likely you have set up an article directory because you
want to provide your visitors with quality articles on a small
or large range of topics. Most likely, also, you don't want to
simply reprint the same articles that are everywhere else on the
internet. And, most likely, you would like to earn some income
from your site.
We can help you with all three goals:
1. We can provide you with quality, human-writen, articles
that match the themes/categories of your directory.
2. These articles are all unique, so you won't be hit by the
duplicate content penalties in the search engines.
3. You can even earn commissions from these articles by
including the special link that enables visitors to grab their
own version of that article. These links can be encoded,
automatically, with your affiliate code so that you can earn
commissions on all signups that result from them.
That's free, recurring, income, just from displaying some unique
articles.
There are two ways you can receive unique content for your
site:
1.
Sign up here to have unique articles delivered to you by
email. You can unsubscribe at any time. However, these articles
cannot be encoded with your affiliate code (though you can add
that manually very easily).
2. See the next FAQ for more details on how we can
auto-submit content to your site. Again, you can unsubscribe at
any time.
As you can see, this benefits all parties - you as a
directory or blog owner get lots of free unique content. Heck,
you can even get paid to publish it!
And, of course, the author benefits from exposure on your
site, and from links back to his site. A true win-win for both
parties.

How do I add or remove my article directory to/from your submission list?
Simply list your site with us and we will automatically submit our unique
articles directly to your site, at which point you can then approve or
decline each one before you actually publish them. By doing it this way
there is no need for copying and pasting, formatting, fiddling with HTML
code or anything else. This is the ideal way to get quality, unique, content
for your website. (If you want articles delivered by email instead, eg for
your ezine or Blogspot blog, just
click
here)
Articles are submitted only for the categories that your site supports,
so you don't need to worry about off-target content.
Each article that is sent out by the Unique Article Wizard is, well,
unique. Which means that you can display them on your site without worrying
about those duplicate content filters on the search engines.
Not only that, but we also offer the option of including your affiliate
code in the article (with the full permission of the author) so that you can
earn residual, recurring, commissions when people click through that link
and sign up as authors with the Unique Article Wizard.
Not sure just what the Wizard does?
see. As you will see, this is a tremendous tool for both authors who
want to use articles to promote their sites, AND webmasters who are looking
for quality unique content.
Listing your Site With Us is Easy
And, naturally, you can de-list your site at any time!
To make it as easy as possible, we have created a number of plugins for diferent article directory, blogs, and Content Management Systems. If you are using a system for which we have a plugin, then adding your site couldn't be any easier:
simply download the appropriate plugin (see below), upload it to your site, set one
file permission, enter your preferences, and off you go! It is that
easy. Installation will probably take you about 5 minutes in total. You can see what it looks like on my demo installation here: demo plugin. This is the Article Dashboard plugin, the plugins for other systems look similar.
The script gives you a full control panel that allows you to:
- limit the number of articles you receive each day.
- select which categories for which you want to receive articles -
and, yes, the list is taken from YOUR list of categories.
- enable/disable email notification of article submissions - with an
embedded link that allows you one-click approval or deletion of each
article. If you have a small niche blog that does not receive many
articles, this saves you from having to log into your site's admin panel
every day just to see if there are new articles waiting for approval.
You can customize the subject line so as to make email filtering easier.
- include your affiliate code with articles so that you can earn money
just by publishing the article - and earn money when OTHER people
publish the article that they found on your site. You will be surprised
at how effective this is!
- automatically publish articles rather than have them posted as
draft, "waiting for review". Often it is a lot quicker to just delete a
few bad articles (using the email notification) than to spend the time
to approve many good articles.
Articles are posted by creating a new account for each user (who may use
multiple pennames). Real information is provided, including valid email
address (but please don't flood them with emails otherwise they will just
bulk-folder them all).
Several security measures are incorporated so as to make sure that the plugin won't compromise your site in any way.
Full source code is
provided so you can check it out yourself. No changes are made to
your database. Removal is as simple as unchecking a box to turn off
receiving articles, and then, if you wish, you can just delete all the
files.
Download Your Plugin Here (Alphabetical Order):
If you have another "off-the-shelf" system - please let us
know! We are in the process of creating plugins for many such systems. We have even created some developer's notes to help you.
In the meantime, you can receive articles by email.
If you are using your own, non-standard system,
please feel free to download any one of the plugins and customize it to suit your own site. All you need is a basic
understanding of PHP and databases, and be familiar with the database
structure of your own site. The source code is well documented. Plugin FAQ
